BIA Dreams For A Developed Bihar

The economists, academicians and eminent personalities of Bihar logged together at a common stage in Patna on saturday to express their vision for a developed bihar. The process and the blueprints were also discussed. Under the umbrella of The Bihar Industries Association (BIA) the participating members enjoyed it and they all agree for preparing an memorandum to be presented to the 13th Finance Commission for getting greater share of resources to Bihar. Keeping the visit of members of 13th Finance Commission to Bihar in coming months, the function was organised by BIA. Stressing on development of implementation mechanism in the state, S N Sinha, ex-secretary of finance,Bihar, said that proper allocation of fund must be gauged and presented to the center as early as possible.
Professor N K Chaudhary laments over biasness and politics involve with Centre. Bihar deserves special grants-in-aid due to its backwardness, flood-affected districts in North Bihar and terrorists and extremists' threat from across Nepal, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. Center must taken bihar as special case as here we find low per capita income and low human development index.
