No Let Up In Flood Situation In Danapur

The flood situation in Danapur (30kms.) west of State Capital remained tensed as the river is flowing above danger level. On an approximation about 30 lakhs people has been affected by flood. Most of the village have been completely inundated n 5 to 8 feet of water in different areas. Except the Bihar Cont. Area every where there is water and nothing else. Though villagers were relocated by time they have not enough food stuffs to eat. Moreover, there is shortage of drinking water at the temporary camps organised by district administration in the area. Patna DM Jitendra Sinha informed media on sunday that as many as 846 quintals of foodgrains, 846 polythene sheets and Rs 200 each per family have been distributed among 846 flood-affected families in Danapur. He said, in all, 355 families under Patna Sadar have been handed over polythene sheets.
