Advance Ambulance Services Starts In Patna
Chief minister Nitish Kumar has inaugurated the Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support ambulance services in Patna on wednesday. An enterprise of public-private parternership this service was long desired. After the new govt. took action improving the health services across the state there was a strong feeling about the need of improved ambulance services.
The 10 ultra modern ambulance with ample of costlier life support system has been pressed into the service as a pilot project. The ambulance are fitted with GSM technology also to trace the location of the van. A technician and a helper will be with each ambulance to assist the patient. At present the 10 ambulance has been deployed at 10 different location of Patna. People of rural Patna who lives at the outskirts of the state capital can also call at 108 to get the service.
At present 10 ultra modern ambulance with ample of costlier life support system has been pressed into the service as a pilot project. Once the service gets popular among people more ambulance will join the fleet and every district of the state will be facilitated. For this Emergency service ambulance people will have to pay just Rs. 300. Briefing about this charge, the CM himself clarifies that this is just a token money so that the services would not be misused. This would further warrant proper maintainance of the ambulance. The state govt. will bear the maintainace cost of rupees 1 lakh per month per ambulance to M/s Chikitsa Health services, the private partner of the venture.
