State Prepares For Second Round Of Election

State Prepares For Second Round Of Election
April 23, 2009

As the nation enters into the 2nd round of voting for the 15th Lok Sabha the political temperature has risen with the rising temperature of weather. The election for 13 parliamentary seats are due on thursday covering about 1.70 crores voters who will seal the destiny of 189 candidates in EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines). The top brass of leadership who is to take on in 2nd round are Film maker Prakash Jha Ramvilas Paswan,  Central minister Ali Ashraf Fatmi, Dr. Shakil Ahmed, Raghunath Jha, Dr. Akhilesh Prasad , Raghuvansha Prasad.

As the state election commission office in Patna seemed quite busy throughout night for the third day consequetiverly the leaders too were giving final touch to their campaign. As the campaingn were closed on monday evening the workers were busy individually persuading Voters about the candidate in low-voice. It is well known that Anirudh Prasad, the  high profile brother of ex-CM Rabri Devi better named as Sadhu yadav is also contesting the election from the Congress ticket after the RJD supremo Laloo yadav has denied him the party ticket on the ground of his poor public portrait. The second round of election seems to be rather more critical for the RJD as 8 out of 13 seats are being ruled by this party and witnessing the loosing ground of Laloo on Bihar's turf it would be a great challenge for the party to retain these seats.
