Cabinet Meets at Hinterland

On Tuesday, in the history of India, a two hour long cabinet meeting was held in a pandal at Birbighi village, some 20 km from Begusarai. Nitish Kumar chaired the cabinet meeting in hinterland. The meeting was attended by almost all ministers and secretaries.

Nitish Kumar was at Begusarai in course of his Vikas Yatra aimed to interact with the people and know their problems. The ministers and secretaries were boarded to Begusarai by BSRTC buses from Patna. Nitish had lunch with his ministers sitting on the ground at the meeting venue.The cabinet took several major decisions including the setting up two corporations - Bihar State Road Construction Corporation and Bihar State Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation. Besides setting up the corporation the cabinet decided to upgrade all govt secondary schools to plus two schools, in the sub-divisions where there is no constituent college, a college would e opened. Cabinet secretary Girish Shankar informed about the cabinet decisions.In another decision govt will construct 65 Panchayat Sarkar Bhawans in phases. In the first phase Panchayat Sarkar Bhawans will be constructed in Naxal affected areas.After the meeting Deputy Chief Minister Shushil Kumar Modi told that the cabinet meeting at Begusarai was a milestone in bringing govt closer to the people.
