Patna Police About To Solve Bank Racket

An FIR was lodged with the Gandhi Maidan police on November 8 by the HDFC Bank management against four persons following embezellement of such a huge amount from a nationalised bank such as PNB. Four persons were named in the FIR. They are PNB chief manager P K Sikdar, manager Ashish Sinha, cashier R K Narayan and Ranjan Singh. Narayan surrendered himself before the Patna civil court on December 15 after his anticipatory bail petition was rejected by the district and sessions judge. The police party is doing raids in various places of the state and rigorously been making efforts to arrest other absconding accused. The disappearance of HDFC Bank's cash from PNB amounting to Rs 7.9 crore. The police are investigating the case on priority basis and from all possible angles, said Patna DIG Amit Kumar.A special police team has already quizzed a few suspects and employees of PNB, he said.
