Dozens Fined For Tinted Glass
Following the Delhi gang rape and the order of the apex court to maintain that no vehicles with tainted glass or curtain be allowed to ply on the road. The Patna district administration took action for the third consequitive day and dozens were fined across the city. "The actual fine is Rs. 100 but it is the power of District Magistrate to increase it, and we're ordered to make challan of Rs.600", said Mr. Thakur, an ASI rank officer, who was quite busy stopping vehicles for flouting of rules, near Goalghar.
"There is a very bad habit in Patnaites. Instead of giving fines they give us references of officers and netas, which wastes time", said a constable. Our correspondent find truth in the statement of the constable as he stands on the spot for some time.
On the other hand, there were vehicles of senior officers and self proclaimed bosses of the city, running throughout the city without any respect for law. Some of the images will say this. The DM residence in the background can been noticed easily, in some of the photographs.
