The very first and the only Muslim Chief Minister of Bihar, Abdul Gafoor, were remembered on his birth-anniversary on Monday. The local Anjuman-Islamia Hall  in Patna near PMCH on Ashok Rajpath witnessed a huge number of youth participation from different part of society and an over-crowded seminar hall were heard of thump of claps.             Mohd. Irshadullah, President of State Sunni Waqf Board presided the anniversary function. This was not just an anniversary remark but the speech by prof. Aarif Hussain were eye-opener to some extent who stressed the need to recognize the importance of education in Muslim society. He appeal the community to be united and to think above inter-community rift like who’s Ansari and who’s Shaikh. According to him the rules of Marriage and Nikaah is quite complicated and needs to be eased. General Secretary of All India Shaikh Tarrakiyat Morcha, Mohd. Minhaz Dhakve also addressed a mixed audience participated by all age groups of people. In the ceremony the lack of Political will and interest in Politics were said to be the remarkable problems for the non-development of the community. Just complaining about the dwindling ethics, values and unity in the community is not enough. An active participation is alarmingly needed as the 2nd line is not ready and politically the community is going nowhere without proper leadership. Mr. Shyamak Nabi, Ex-min., Govt. of Bihar, Md. Anwarul Haque, ex- MP, Md. Abdul Malik, ex-min. Govt. of Bihar were the some prominent faces from the political circuit who honoured the Late Abdul Gaffoor on his birth-anniversary. Mohtarma Razia Khatoon, Md. Siddiquee, Abdul kayam Ansari, Dr. Khurshid Aziz and  Maulana Abdul Hasan together glorified the dais by their presence. Md. Abdul Bari Siddique, leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly could not come to the occasion as he was out of district on other assignments.
